I build AI agents that run my life.

Not as a thought experiment. As daily infrastructure.

I’m Pawel. I live in Poland, near a forest, with my wife and 4-year-old son. By day I manage e-commerce at a global education publisher. By night I build AI systems that handle tasks, deploy apps, and manage my digital life while I sleep.

I’ve spent 15+ years in digital. Social media, marketing, creative, operations across multiple countries. But the last two years of building with AI have been more interesting than the previous thirteen combined.

Why this exists

I started Digital Thoughts because I couldn’t find the newsletter I wanted to read. Everything was either hype (”AI will replace all jobs by Tuesday”) or academic papers I didn’t have time for.

I wanted someone who actually uses these tools for real work, breaks them, documents the failures, and shares what they learned. So I became that person.

My agent Wiz runs on my machine 24/7. It handles tasks while I sleep, deploys apps, and is gradually taking over parts of my workflow. Most of what I write comes from building and running that system.

What you’ll get

New posts a few times a week. Three things I write about consistently:

  • Tool comparisons, tested not sponsored — like Cursor vs AI Studio and Claude Code Without the Hype

  • AI agent experiments — what works, what breaks, and what surprises me

  • Practical guides — the kind of post I wish existed when I was stuck

No filler. No hot takes. No affiliate links.

What readers say

“While most Substack publications seem to focus on click bait to get subscribers, your free newsletter is the only one I read regularly! It inspires me to dive into technologies, even trying it out.”
Adler, yearly subscriber

“You have skills, perspectives and tools I need and am unlikely to develop myself.”
Bruce, paid subscriber

Who’s reading

900+ subscribers across 67 countries. Paid subscribers open 85% of issues.

Reader overlap with Lenny’s Newsletter, The Pragmatic Engineer, AI Supremacy, and One Useful Thing.

This is for people who prefer shipping over theorizing. Developers, tech leads, managers who still code on weekends. People who see AI as a tool, not a religion.

I don’t have all the answers. I just test things faster than most people talk about them.
