Marketing in 2025 Will Also Create Content for...AI
And Why That's Both Exciting and Terrifying
You know what's wild? While everyone's debating whether AI will replace marketers (spoiler: it won't), we might be missing an even bigger plot twist: soon we'll be creating marketing content FOR AI, not just WITH it.
Let me explain why this keeps me up at night (in a good way... mostly D:).
Remember when we all had to learn SEO because suddenly we were writing for Google's bots instead of just humans? (I actually wrote about this evolution in my post about coding giving digital roles a competitive edge) Well, history has a funny way of rhyming, and I think we're about to see something similar – but way more intense.
Here's what's already happening:
Meta's quietly populating their platforms with AI accounts to boost engagement
Social media is becoming less "social" and more "media" by the day
People are increasingly using AI agents to filter and curate their online experience
The Bot-pocalypse Is Already Here Think about it – when was the last time you mindlessly scrolled through social media? Now imagine a future (coming faster than we think) where AI does that scrolling for you, summarizing only the good stuff. Sounds convenient, right?
But here's where it gets interesting for us marketers:
AI agents will become the primary content filters
These agents will determine what actually reaches human eyes
We'll need to optimize content for both AI comprehension AND human consumption
(Kind of like how I experimented with AI-driven business decisions in my RemoteRise experiment)
The Double-Edged Sword The challenge? Creating content that:
Speaks to AI agents effectively
Maintains authenticity for human readers
Doesn't get lost in the noise of AI-generated content
Actually delivers value (because that never goes out of style)
I've been experimenting with this concept in my own projects (like the Dynamic Claude Chat I recently built), and let me tell you – the future is both exciting and slightly terrifying.
What This Means For Marketers
New Skills Required:
Understanding AI content preferences
Mastering dual-audience writing
Learning AI-friendly formatting and structure
Fresh Opportunities:
Creating AI-optimized content strategies
Developing new engagement metrics
Building human-AI hybrid marketing approaches
Potential Pitfalls:
Over-optimization for AI at the expense of human engagement
Loss of authentic connection with real audiences
Dependency on AI-driven distribution
So, What Can We Do About It?
Start experimenting now:
Test different content structures
Monitor how AI agents interact with your content
Build flexibility into your marketing strategies
Keep it human:
Maintain authentic voice and messaging
Focus on genuine value delivery
Remember the end user is still human (for now :))
Stay adaptable:
Keep learning about AI developments
Build systems that can evolve
Don't put all your eggs in one basket
The Bottom Line While it might sound like science fiction, this shift is already happening. The key isn't to fight it but to understand and adapt to it. Just like we adapted to SEO, social media algorithms, and every other digital marketing evolution.
Want to stay ahead of the curve? Start thinking about how your content can serve both masters – AI and humans. Because soon enough, that won't be optional.

if human's living purpose is to consume/produce more content, this is pretty exciting. But if we would shift to solving human, social, governance, technical, environmental, ... challenges and spending more time with each other than online, maybe we would shift the "entertainment" of bots & AI to getting them to help us in addressing our challenges...
